Mia Grant is a mother of three grown children and grandmother of five. She works as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and in the Maternal and Newborn Care Unit of a major hospital in New York. Twelve years ago, her twin grandchildren, Ava and Mikey, were born five weeks premature. She helped care for Ava and felt the need to be there to share my love. That nights she woke her husband up to share with him that she was shifting careers to be a NICU nurse. Two weeks later, she was enrolled in school.
